Error message when you start a game: "INSB7.tmp ordinal 6778 not found in MFC42.dll"

SYMPTOMS

Cause

This issue occurs when one of the following conditions is true:

• Files in the Temp folder are causing a conflict.
• The game files that are installed have been corrupted.

Resolution

Try to download the MFC42.dll.

To resolve this issue in Microsoft Windows 98 or in Microsoft Windows XP, follow these steps:

1.Close all the programs that are running, and then restart the computer.
2.Click Start, click Run, type %temp%, and then click OK.
3.On the Edit menu, click Select All.
4.On the File menu, click Delete.
5.When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
6.Try to start the game. If you receive the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section, remove the game and then reinstall the game.

To resolve this issue in Windows Vista, follow these steps:

1.Close all the programs that are running, and then restart the computer.
2.Click Start, type %temp% in the Start Search box, and then click Temp in the Programs list.
3.On the Edit menu, click Select All.
4.On the File menu, click Delete.
5.When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
6.Try to start the game. If you receive the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section, remove the game and then reinstall the game.
