RM Downloader
- RM Downloader is a Real Media and MP3 Stream Ripper/Grabber (not direct sound recording program), which makes it easy to download Real Video, Real Audio and SHOUTcast streams. With this program you just need 2 steps to rip your favorite shows from the internet.
How to download/save/capture/record/rip PNM / PNA streams?
- 1. Open RM Downloader
2. Click on the Load button on RD's screen to open the URL Loading screen. In the "Load" box that opens, type in: "pnm://aural1.justconcerts.com/justconcerts/sessions/k-os/020730/bling_bling.rm". Then click 'ok', RD will load the stream for you.

3. If you want to record the stream which RealPlayer is playing, single click the "File" drop-down menu on the RealPlayer interface. Choose "View file info" under "Clip Properties", Copy "pnm://aural1.justconcerts.com/justconcerts/sessions/k-os/020730/bling_bling.rm" in the Clip Info Box. Paste the address "pnm://aural1.justconcerts.com/justconcerts/sessions/k-os/020730/bling_bling.rm" in the RD's loading url box. Then click 'ok', RD will load the stream for you.

4. If the stream has been sucessfully loaded, you'll get the message "Please press 'Start' to download the ready files". If not, you'll get an error message.

5. Click on the Start button on the right of RD's screen to start recording.
The PNA protocol uses pnm:// rather than pna:// in the request URL.
PNM (Progressive Networks protocol) uses port 7070, this protocol allows for backward compatibility with a RealPlayer 5.0 and below client. PNM protocol allows access and server publishing when serving large or high-quality files. "HTTP is not quite as robust as PNM and HTTP is best suited for those serving smaller files or not insistent upon the absolute best sound quality." This is what the company that designed this protocol and client claim I and many others have not been able to find a difference between the two PNM and HTTP protocols when it comes to streaming.
