Develop Android Apps: Google Android 2.2 SDK is Coming
Google has just released Android 2.2 (Froyo) SDK for developers to develop more applications to suit for this new version OS. That is after the Google I/O 2010 conference in San Francisco when Google Android 2.2 was released. Android 2.2 was released with developer features, API changes. If you are new to Android applications development, you should go through the following steps to develop Android 2.2 applications with Android SDK V 2.2.

Android SDK, another name is Froyo. To
develop Android applications with Android SDK, first start by developing or testing the Android 2.2 platform.
Step 1. Download and Install JDK and Eclipse
You should first download and install Java Development Kit before starting. And then download Eclipse, A Java or RCP version or upper of Eclipse are all right. You can get it from Eclipse.org/downloads/.
Step 2. Download Android SDK Version 2.2
After downloading, unpack the
Android SDK file to your local computer. By default, the SDK files are unpacked into a directory named android-sdk-. Name it for your easy recognization.
Step 3. Install ADT Plugin for Eclipse
Android Development Tools (ADT) is a plugin for the Eclipse IDE that is designed to give you a powerful, integrated environment for developing Android applications.

Step 4. Add Android Platforms
Follow the following steps to access the
Android SDK and AVD Manager tool:
- Open Eclipse
- Select Window -> Android SDK and AVD Manager
- Select Available Packages in the left panel
- Select and install the components as you need
The components will now be installed into your existing Android SDK directories. Once you finished installation, you have been always
developing applications for Android 2.2.
