How to create an image for a file?
Note:
If you wish to save an image to an external hard disk, connect this to your computer
before starting O&O DiskImage. It will then be displayed as a drive.
1. In the start screen or fi le menu, click on Image

2. Select the drive for imaging by ticking the box next to it.
3. You can create advanced settings for your image under Options.

4. Click on Create Image, once you have completed the required settings.
5. Enter the target path of the drive you wish the image to be saved to. You can either
accept the suggested path or select another location.
6. The Image is automatically named after the creation date. You can however enter a
name manually. All information from the image will be saved, which you can later access
through Image Information in the Tools list.
7. Select Start. The image fi le will now be created.
Note:
Further settings options, i.e. Imaging Methods, can be found in the Chapter Imaging Options.
Note:
If a drive is not large enough to store an image you will be prompted to select another.
You can also at this stage rename the fi le, i.e. 2_Test.omg.
Note:
Should all connected drives not be displayed, under Select click on Refresh Drives.
