How to copy dvd movie to pc, copy dvd to dvd disc?

1. Download ImTOO DVD Copy Express and install.

2. Run ImTOO DVD Copy Express first , specify the "Source" and "Target" by selecting from the "Source Combo Box" and "Target Combo Box".

3. Select certain output mode as you need. There are two modes - Full Disk Mode and Main Movie Mode to choose.

4. There are more settings advanced in the "Setting Panel" with the button clicked. You can make some changes in temporary file folder, DVD volume, Audio track, Subtitle.

5. Click "Start Copy" button to copy your DVD movie.

6. While copying's done, ImTOO DVD Copy Express will show you a message box that copying's successfully completed and information about copying "Source", "Target", "Copy mode", "Compress ratio" and "Time".

Tips:

ImTOO DVD Copy Express supports DVD disk, DVD folder or ISO image file as input and output, so that you can copy DVD to DVD, back up DVD disc to ISO images file or DVD folder, burn ISO image file or DVD folder to DVD disc.
Two DVD copying modes offered: Full Disk Mode and Main Movie Mode. With Full Disk Mode, you can copy entire DVD including all titles, while you are supposed to copy the longest title, and get rid of some unimportant audio or video in the Main Movie Mode.

There must be 4.2 GB free space left for temporary folders to run the DVD copying software.

A message box will come up to show you three selections (D5, D9, Custom) for your target disk as below, if you are copying a Video-DVD to a blank DVD disk.

DVD-5: DVD-5 is an acronym that means a DVD disc that is one-sided single-layer disc and can contain upto 4.38 gigabytes of data on it.

DVD-9: One form of DVD discs that means a single-sided dual-layer DVD disc. DVD-9 can hold approximately 7.95 gigabytes of data.

DVD±R: Two recordable DVD formats allow single-layer data to be stored on each side of the disc -- in other words, one side of the disc
can hold upto 4.38 gigabytes of information. Both DVD formats are write-once formats, and can be read with most stand-alone DVD players and with virtually all DVD-ROM drives, though DVD+R is technically slightly more advanced than DVD-R.

DVD+R DL: DVD+R DL is the dual layer version of DVD+R format. It's main difference to the DVD+R is that it can store upto 8.5 gigabytes on one disc side, unlike DVD+R which can only hold the same amount of data that a single layer disc can, appx. 4.38 gigabytes. This means basically that every single one-sided movie disc ever released can be stored to one DVD+R DL disc without compression or removing anything from the original disc.
