PhotoChances is a large collection of photographic effects and filters, each with variable parameters having potentially a large number of possibilities.
PhotoChances runs two modes:
Slideshow mode and
Lab mode. Following is the detailed guide to show how to use the Slideshow mode in PhotoChances.
While the program is displaying images in slideshow mode you can perform the following actions with the keyboard and the mouse:
The
Space bar will open the
Lab window where you can capture the image shown and manage the recipe used for the current effect.
The
S key will open the
settings window where you can configure details of the operation of the program
The keys
left right arrow will stop the animation. A slider will be shown at the top allowing to forward or rewind the animation of the image. It can be moved either with the mouse or with the left/right arrow keys. This can be useful when the image is transitioning from one effect to another. With the slider or the arrow keys you can fine tune the exact moment you like of the mix of the two effects and then capture the image.
The keys Control Alt or Shift combined with the arrow keys will also produce movements in the animation:
* Control + left right will move to the start or the end of the current segment.
* Alt + left right moves the animation in steps of one second.
* Shift + left right moves the animation in small increments (smaller than the ones with the arrow keys alone so you can finely select the exact moment)
You can go backwards to previous images: Press
Control+ left so the animation goes to the beginning of the current photo. The press the left arrow key and this will move to the previous image. From here you can go back and or resume the animation.
Pressing
R while paused will resume the animation at full speed.
When using the arrow keys to stop the animation the program shows a slider. The keys Control+P will pause the animation but not showing the slider. While the program is paused the arrow keys combined with Control, Alt or Shift will move through the animation as described above. Pressing
Control+P again (or R) will resume the animation
V: Will show the current image shown without the effect.
Pressing the right mouse button while the program is running will open a popup menu that has the most usual options and that is a good reminder of the corresponding keyboard shortcuts.
Alt+Enter or
Alt+double click will switch between FullScreen and Windowed mode
The Settings window has several tabs, each can be accessed directly by pressing the initial letter of each tab: General, Effects, Image selection, Music, Buy and About
F1 will open the help
The
Esc key or
Control+W will stop the program.
