How to connect PSP with your PC?

You could connect psp with your pc by two ways: one is connect your psp via a usb cable and the other is connect your psp memory stick to your pc.

Connect your PSP via a USB Cable

You can directly connect your PSP to your PC with a USB cable - you will need a USB cable with a USB 5-Pin Mini-B connector on one end, and a standard USB PC connector on the other end.

How to connect psp with your pc

This cable is not normally supplied with the PSP, so if you do not have such a cable, you will need to purchase one.

  1. Connect the mini connector to the top of your PSP and the other end of the cable into a USB slot on your PC. For the best perfornance, connect your PSP to a USB 2.0 slot.
  2. Make sure the PSP is on.
  3. Scroll to the 'Settings' menu by pressing the left arrow on the PSP.
  4. Select 'USB Connection' using the up and down arrows on the control pad.
  5. Press the 'X' button.
  6. Your PC should detect the PSP device, and show it in Explorer as a new drive (for example, 'F:').

Connect your PSP Memory Stick to your PC

Alternatively, you can also connect just the Memory Stick from your PSP to your PC using a card reader - you will need one that is able to handle PSP Memory Sticks.

1.Connect & install the card reader to your PC, if you haven't done so already.
2.Insert the Memory Stick from your PSP into the card reader.
3.You should be able to see now the contents of the Memory Stick just as if the PSP were attached to your computer.
