How to Boot and Run Windows Password Key 6.0 Disk?

1. Your disk should boot up to a screen that is NOT the Windows login screen. If it continues to boot to the Windows login screen, you need to check your boot order in the BIOS or hit F12 as you boot to get a boot device selection on some computers. Read the setting BIOS to boot CD first page in order to set your BIOS to boot your Windows Password Key 6.0 CD.

2. If you disk does boot up correctly, you will see the following scroll up your screen.

3. You will then get the following screen. You will see the location of your Windows password files. You may have more than one.

4. Hit the 1 key and then Enter. If you have more than one password file, you may need to try each one. Then it will give you a list of your usernames similar to the one below.

5. Now you just need to pick the username you would like to reset. In this example, we will reset the username Administrator so we will hit the 1 key and then Enter. You will be asked if you are sure as shown below. Just hit Y and Enter.

6. It will then verify that you have reset the password and then let you either access the password file again to reset another, or you can exit out by hitting N.

As you will see, the evaluation version does not actually reset the password but shows you the complete functionality up to that point. To get back into Windows you will need to purchase the full version.
