How to back up including or excluding certain file types or folders?

This can be done very easily with TurboBackup. First, select the folders you want to back up. Check off include subfolders if desired and select "Where" and Compress to ZIP files or Duplicate (Copy) Files and Folders as the Type option.

When you reach the last wizard, click the Options button, and go to the Backup > Filters page.

If you only want to back up ceratin file type, e.g. all JPEG image files, select Inclusion filter, and enter "*.jpg" into the text box. You can also exclude certain file type in a similar way. To exclude subfolders, you can enter foldersubfolder*.* to exclude it.

If you want to include or exclude more than one file type, separate each with a semi-colon (;). For example, "*.jpg;*.gif;*.png".

When you are done, you can click OK, and Finish. Then you can run the backup as normal.



How to set up unattended backup?
    You can check off the Silent backup option box in the Tools > Default Options menu, on the Backup > Advanced Options page before you create the task, or click the Options button on the last wizard page of existing backup tasks. TurboBackup will perform backups silently without user response.

    You can set up unattended backup for all backup tasks including backup to DVD/CD. For backup to DVD/VD, make sure the device is ready and there is disc in the drive.
How to backup Outlook Express messages to DVD/CD?
    If you are doing it for the first time, select My E-mail Messages from the task list, click the Wizard button on the toolbar and select Burn onto DVD or CD in Backup Wizard, click Next to Finish. Then, click the Backup button to perform the backup. Only the last step is required to perform the same backup again, or you may use the scheduler to perform backup automatically.
