Step 2, Import file

Click properties to change the path or title of a certain file. The title you changed here only shows on the list, the name of converted file is same as the one of the original file.
Step 3, Video settings

Choose a TV color encoding system from "Standard" field. If you are not sure of which system your country employs, please click Select Country to choose your country from the prompt window, and the program will automatically choose the proper TV standard for you.
From the "Format" drop down list, choose a DVD format for your presentation. You may click See Details to view the specification of a certain format. Also, you may select an aspect ratio of the output video.
Note: If the aspect ratio you choose is different from the one of the original PowerPoint file, your presentation will look distorted.
Step 4, Play Options
You may need to specify the playback mode for DVD in this step. Some options in this step shows only when you have multiple files to be converted. Please choose a PowerPoint file which you want the settings to apply to. If you want to apply the settings to all PowerPoint files, after you confirm your settings, click Apply to All.
Play the slides automatically, If you check this option the slides will advance automatically, and you may check "Loop Play" to loop your presentation. Besides, you may add a delay at the end of each slide. All of the slides in your presentation will advanced automatically under this play mode, thus, if you did not set transition timing in your presentation, the converted video will look a little rush. PPT2DVD adds 1 second delay at the end of each slide by default. Also, you are allowed to change the delay to up to 900s, (00'00.0'').
Note: If you have set transition time in PowerPoint, the time you set here will take no effect. PPT2DVD uses the transition time in original file.
Play the slides manually, If you choose to play the slides manually, all slides of your presentation will advance manually. With this play mode, a DVD menu (called Main Menu) will be created, and you may choose to start from which slide, and when it will advanced to the next one, just like you use PowerPoint to view the presentation.
Note: In manual play mode, all animations in a slide will play automatically, but once the animation completes, it will not advance to next slide until you press the "Play" button on DVD remote control.
Display slides in thumbnail view, If you choose this option, the program will create a DVD menu, which displays the play mode and thumbnail view option, and a thumbnail for each slide.
Display slides in list view, If you choose this option, the program will create a DVD menu, which displays the play mode and list view option, and a list of all slides.
Tips: You may choose to display slides in both ways, if so, the Main Menu displays the options both.
Add the Ending Page, If you choose this option, the Edit Ending Page is available. You may click it to edit the Ending Page, which shows the actions that you want to take at the end of the presentation.
If you have selected more than one PowerPoint files to convert, you should see Edit Title Menu, which displays all the presentations. You choose a title of one presentation to go to the Main Menu of the presentation then decide how it plays.
Step 5, Output

The output folder is the default folder that stores the output videos. You find the converted videos in the folder, and transported them to your devices. There is a temporary folder under the output folder. It is used to store temporary files, which will be deleted after you exit the program. Since those files can be unexpectedly large, it is recommended to reserve enough free space for the output folder (5GB or larger is recommended).
In this step, you may choose a burning software and a DVD burning device to burn your disk, or decide whether create DVD image files or not. From "Program" you choose a burning software, you may use the one that comes with PPT2DVD or a third party software like Nero. The burning device on you computer is listed on "CD/DVD Burner", you may choose one to burn your disc. The "Volume Label" is the name that displays on your optical driver when you insert the disc.
Note: The "Burn to Disc" option is only available when you have DVD burner properly installed on you computer. This is the last step of settings, you click "Next" to start converting.
Step 6, Processing

You see the processing progress in Task list, which shows all the tasks those are completed and being processed. The time displayed below the progress bar will notify you how much time has spent of processing. If your find the system process takes long time to finish, you can check the option at the bottom and let your computer shut down when process completes. The processing time varies a lot due to many factors, such as the configuration of your computer, the complexity of the PowerPoint file, the working condition of your system and more. It is highly recommended that close all unnecessary programs before conversion starts.
When the Finish pane appears, it means the program has finished the processing progress. You may click play to view the output video, which requires Windows Media Player 10 or later is properly installed on your computer.
