Using a simple and easy technique, My Stuff will help you to organize the valuables you have, keep track of their value as they age, and give you a history on each piece entered.
The main screen displays only one item per page. From the main screen simply fill in the provided areas which include place purchased, original cost, and date of purchase, and you have started your inventory.
A great feature of My Stuff is its capability to be password protected. This is a great way to secure the information entered from being changed or deleted without your authorization.
The lookup feature displays items in a list. You can sort them by name, location, or cost. While in the look up screen you can see whether the items are insured, marked, or for personal use. This is a quick and easy way to display an item without having to browse through the entire inventory.
The most important feature of having an inventory is being able to back up the data and restore it when needed. My Stuff includes a back up and restore utility right in the program. The backup file is in a compressed file (industry-standard zip format) allowing you to fit hundreds of items onto your floppy for storage. You can back up to floppy disk, zip disk, or to a CD Rom for large collections.
