The user interface and mouse/keyboard command are well designed and are compatible with the popular Microsoft Office which most users might have been gotten used to.

Rapid mind map composing

All operations are intuitive and straight forward, no matter using keystrokes or mouse (click, right click or drag and drop).

The floating notes window is a unlimited place to store extended information for a topic, including, but not limited to: rich text, hyperlink, OLE object (e.g. Excel spreadsheet), image and so on.

Customizable windows layout (known as desktop)

All UI elements are customizable, you can move/resize/dock/undock any of them, you can even save your windows layout with a defined name and load it later on, and you can define favorite keystrokes. Moreover MindVisualizer is shipped with several predefined layouts called 'Sidebars on Left', 'Max. Workspace' and so on.

Customizable UI look and feel

MindVisualizer supports 8 very nice-looking UI styles, some of them are Office 2003/2007, Office XP, Mac OSx, Crystal, and so on.

MindVisualizer supports spell checking almost all European languages , American and British English dictionaries are built-in and you can easily download additional dictionaries for other languages.

Since there will still be many and many amazing features to be added in the near future, MindVisualizer provides a auto updating mechanism so that you can get the latest program easily, no external download programs nor extra steps are needed.

Icon library

MindVisualizer is shipped with a Icon library to allow you adding visual element to your mind maps and you can also add extra icons into the library from the hard disk.

Image library

The image library is another large library for visual elements which contains nearly 500 images, and each image is associated with keywords thus you can find a image easily. Moreover you can also add more images from the hard disk or download additional 7600+ images from our website (coming soon).

Hyperlink support

You can attach a list of hyperlinks, not only single like other softwares, to any topic, this is very useful for knowledge management or project management.

Linked map creation

you can easily create a linked map from any topic, this helps you well organize your map easily, you know according to the rule of thumbs a large map should be split into small ones.

Branch folding

Each branch of topic can be collapsed or expended in any level, this helps you navigate a large map easily.

Unlimited undo and redo

With the unlimited undo/redo support, you don't have to worry about any mistake when composing a map.

Powerful copy & paste

Besides copy & paste within a map or among maps, you can also paste indented text and the indented lines will be treated as subtopics, or you can paste image/notes/hyperlink directly into a topic, also you can copy the selected topics into the clipboard in bitmap and text.

Multiple language for user interface

Currently supports only English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, and more will be supported sooner.

Unicode character support

You can mix any character in any language the same time into the topic notes or topic caption.

Document export

MindVisualizer allows you export your mind maps into other commonly used file formats, currently the supported formats include Microsoft Word compatible RTF, HTML, text and jpeg/gif/png/bmp images, and the most importantly after all is, more formats will be supported shortly.

High performance

Unlike other mind mapping softwares those are running in a virtual machine(Java or .NET), MindVisualizer is a native windows desktop program thus it runs fast, this is very important if you really need productivity.

Small installer package

Currently the size of the installer is around 7 megabytes, considering the feature MindVisualizer supplies and it contains two large English spell check dictionaries and nearly 500 images it's very small compare to other competitors, this makes is quicker to download from Internet, no more wait time and no more bandwidth wasting.

Software quality improvement mechanism

There is no bug-free software in the world, nor MindVisualizer will be, even MindVisualizer is a fairly stable program it as well provides a professional bug reporting mechanism to allow our customer report valuable bug information easily so that we can improve the software easily, the detailed technical information will be collected and ready to send out via your default email client in case any problem is occurred, and of course you can see what is actually sending out thus you don't need to worry about your privacy information.
