Handy Recovery - Recover Date Easily

Handy Recovery can recover files damaged by virus attacks, power failures and software faults or files from deleted and formatted partitions.
Handy Recovery allows you to browse the content of your disk just like you do it in Windows Explorer. The only difference is that you see deleted files and folders along with the regular ones. |

| How to recover files with Handy Recovery |
Step1. Select Disk and Analyze It |

| Select one disk which you think lost files. Then press the button "Analyze" on the toolbar, Handy Recovery will start analyzing all folders on this disk. It will take some times. When analyzing, the program will display folder tree in the left view of the window. Newly found folders will be added to the tree. |

| Step2. Find Lost File on the Disk |

Select a folder in the left view, you can browse the content of disk just like you do in the Windows Explorer. Both existing files and deleted files are showed. The deleted files are marked with a red cross over the icon:  - for deleted files,  - for deleted folders. A small red cross at the bottom right corner of the folder icon  means that the folder exists, but it contains deleted files or folders. Press the button "Filter", You can filter by name, date, size and several other parameters. |

| Step3. Recover the File |

| After you select the files and folders you want to recover, press the button "Recover", The "Recover" dialog box will show up. You can choose where you want to save the recovered files. If you recover several files, it is strongly recommended to select a location on a different disk. This way you will make sure that first recovered file will not be saved over the data required to recover the next file. |

| There are three options you can choose |

| Restore folder structure |
If this option is selected, the full branch of the folders tree containing the selected files and folders will be recovered to the selected folder.

| Recover only deleted |
Choose this option to recover only deleted files from selected folders. Existing (not deleted) files will not be copied to the output folder in this case.

| Recover alternate data streams |
Recover alternate data streams along with the main file data. Alternate data streams are used on NTFS file system to store additional information about files, such as user comments.
