Merits:
Zuma Deluxe is an easy-to-operate puzzle game. It’s welcomed by youngsters as well as the senior, for it’s suitable for most people to relax. It’s not hard to see why Zuma is one of the best-selling casual games of all time. There are several settings for users to select, you could play it with its background music or close it. The own music of Zuma is very mysterious which lures users to play it all the time. The Help File is very detailed, which is decent for users to refer to.
Demerits:
Zuma Deluxe easily makes one get addicted to it. Once you get started with this program, your attention will be caught by its Bust-A-Move play mode and would not like to give up. Then your social life may be kind of affected by it. The Help File is not very “independent”—if you close the general guide, the Help File will go with it. If you quit the game, there is no choice to play again; unless re-launching this program you would not re-play it. Since Zuma Deluxe is shareware, there is a 30-day trial for users—many users think it would be better if it’s freeware. This is not a big problem, though; the publisher could put out an online game of Zuma for users to share.
Benefits
Zuma Deluxe is an easy-to-use tool for users to relax. I’ve experienced it during a long-duration holiday for leisure. This game brings us a mysterious world—the background is based on Mesoamerican, so is the music. It’s a color-divided genre which may let little kids learn about colors in groups, which means a kind of color-ball should be eliminated by three same color balls align closed. It is very attracted at first.
There are two modes for users to start; if you are new to Zuma, “Adventure” is recommended for you to get familiar with the whole program. I always select this mode because the passes are not so difficult as “Gauntlet”. “Gauntlet” is designed for advanced users to play—there are complicated modes which make me very impatient to wait the end of a pass.
The game is not very easy at a higher level, that is, the higher level you get, the more challenge comes. When you come to the last pass of Zuma, what would you feel?
Be aware of the addictiveness of this game. Just because of its easy operation, it may make one get involved in the game deeply. Many users have complained about this “add-on” during play—indeed, it’s easy to be addicted to this program. When I played it during my holidays, I felt much more relaxed when it came to expire. You may feel strange how I dare say that, while it’s my true feeling. So it’s important for users to arrange agenda—if you cannot control the time, I recommend Ez OFF which could close your program by force.
Setup
It takes only a few seconds to install Zuma Deluxe. There is no special choice for you to select. Follow the prompts; the installation can be easily finished. Before you start to launch the program, I suggest you to look through the Help File, especially System Requirements, for there are some noticeable requirements. My version is 1.0 and it suggests that users’ desktop set be 16 bit or 32 bit (256 colors may not work). So please adjust the needs in order to get a best effect.
There is no adware, spyware or malware in Zuma Deluxe, thus you could install it without hesitation.
Should you want to remove the software, there is a shortcut offered to realize your needs. Note: before uninstall, please close this program; otherwise, uninstall of Zuma Deluxe will not succeed. When you click “Uninstall”, there is a choice for users which inquires if you want to save the configuration and data. If you do not want it any more, erase the default setting.

There are two choices for beginners and advanced users (I’ve mentioned above). The differences between these operating interfaces are the levels’ settings. I strongly recommended users to experience “Adventure” mode, for you might sustain a shorter pass than “Gauntlet”. I’ve just tried “Gauntlet” and had no patience to sustain the pass done—it’s very miserable to play a “Gauntlet” mode.
System Requirements
Zuma Deluxe requires an IBM PC or 100% compatible computer, with a Pentium II 350MHz or better processor. The requirement for RAM is at least 128MB. These requirements can be ignored by today’s users. It runs well on Windows 98 or above versions, which is also easy to realize. The desktop setting is a special need, for it’s compatible with 16 bit or 32 bit.
Conclusion
This program is easy to use and get easy with the operation. While the addiction is another side of Zuma Deluxe—it will be a little pity if you want to stop where you’ve done. Should there be added a function like Ez OFF? Many users comment it with “addictiveness” or related words. It’s not good for one to ignore his social life while playing this game all the time—indeed, it’s very attractive. I expect the publisher could set a function which forces users to rest.
