Platypus Reviews - Counter Attack with Plasticine Enemy
posted on Mar 21, 2008
Pros:
The graphic effect of Platypus is different from most shooting games, whose stuffs are designed as clays. It seems to be cuter instead of an exciting game; yet there are full of enemies to fight. It's very attractive.
Cons:
It might pause when the pop-up occurs; while it is not very serious.
Story:
There are the attacking hordes of Collosatropolis which are invading the peaceful residents of Mungola, it's your mission to help them out. With a shooting plane, your adventure starts...
You will face:
Many enemies which mainly drive the flying objects as you do. Shoot them up with visual bullets of your plane and you could get bonuses, which is for power - ups.

Guide:
The most considerate design of this game, differentiates from others, is the countdown setting during gameplay (demo version). You could observe how much time you spend on it; and some demo games don't show you during playing games. The good point of its countdown is to remind players not overplay it without knowing. I overplayed a game once, as I didn't count the exact time, and the demo stopped. Thus, this design attracted me at first time.
Many players complain its graph out of style, yes, it's not the same as fancy as other shooting games, yet Platypus brings me to an old - timey world, which is full of childlike stuffs, even the enemies seem lovely other than wicked.
Would you like to go back to your childhood? In Platypus, it does offer you a nostalgic style which recalls our memories on clay toys.
Will you have a try? Go.
