Drug Wars - Underworld System Requirements:

To install and play Drug Wars - Underworld, you will need a system which meets the following requirements:
Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me/98.
At least 5 megabytes free hard drive space
Video display at 16-bit color or higher. 800x600 screen resolution or higher recommended**.
At least 32 MB RAM
* Windows 95 and NT4 require Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher.
** The software will function in 256 color mode (8-bit), but will be ugly as all hell.

Drug Wars - Underworld Quick Start Guide:

Start a new game. When you launch the program, you will see the New Game window. Click Play to start a new game.

Buy products from the Market. To make money, you need to buy products from the Market, and sell them back at a higher price. To buy an item, select the item in the Market list and click the Buy button. In the Buy window which appears, enter how many you'd like to buy.

Change locations. After you've bought some product, you'll need to change locations to look for a place where you can sell your product at a profit. You can change locations by clicking on a location in the map. When you change locations, a day passes in the game.

Sell product. When you find a location with a higher price, you'll want to sell your product. To sell a product, select the product in your Inventory list, and click the Sell button. In the Sell window, enter how many you'd like to sell.

Fend off your foes. As you change locations, you may run into cops, gangs, or mafia who want to get you off the street. You have several options. You can fight back by trying to talk your way out of the situation (or you can actually fight...depending on your violence setting). You can try to run. You can also surrender, or try to bribe your foes.

Pay off your debt. Very quickly, your debt will become due. You'll need to keep an eye on your debt amount, and make sure you have enough money to pay off the loan when it becomes due. You can get information about your loan by clicking the loans button. When your debt is due, don't worry... the loan shark will let you know.

How to Customize Drug Wars:

Drug Wars - Underworld provides several options for customizing game play. These options allow you to change aspects of how various functions work, and how some supporting services behave.

Chart display always follows selection - This option, when checked, will cause the chart display to update based on the currently selected item in the Market or Inventory lists. As you select different items in the lists, the chart display will update to show you the stats on the selected item.

Always ask to hire informant when I take action - This option allows you to turn on or off the 'Would you like to hire an informant' prompt which appears after you buy or sell product in a location where you do not already have an informant.

Cash Currency - This allows you to change the currency conversion used in the game. The game will automatically convert all values based on the conversion rate for the selected currency. (Currency rates are updated with each major release).

Combat Delay - This option allows you to control the speed at which events occur during a conflict encounter. This setting is measured in milliseconds. The larger the Combat Delay, the slower the conflict will unfold.

Violence - This option enables the game violence, which allows you to buy weapons, and actually 'fight' in various encounters.
