Trillian
Trillian is a fully featured, stand-alone, skinnable chat client that supports AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and IRC.
It provides capabilities not possible with original network clients, while supporting standard features such as audio chat, file transfers, group chats, chat rooms, buddy icons, multiple simultaneous connections to the same network, server-side contact importing, typing notification, direct connection (AIM), proxy support, encrypted messaging (AIM/ICQ), SMS support, and privacy settings.
Without stealing your home page and with no other included software, pop-ups, or spyware, Trillian provides unique functionality such as contact message history, a powerful skinning language, tabbed messaging, global status changes (set all networks away at once), Instant Lookup (automatic Wikipedia integration), contact alerts, an advanced automation system to trigger events based on anything happening in the client, docking, hundreds of emoticons, emotisounds, shell extensions for file transfers, and systray notifications.

How does Trillian connect to each of the services it supports?
The exact same way the original clients do - via a direct connection to whatever servers actually power the network. None of your instant messaging traffic ever passes through a Cerulean server, and we don't require you to register a new account with us to utilize existing services.
Does Trillian connect to a service not listed here?
Yes! Trillian's ability to dynamically add and remove featuresets via plugins allows the addition of many different services. Our amazing community of users is constantly cooking up something new; keep current in our community forums to see the latest and greatest.
What about (insert favorite feature here)? Does Trillian support that?
Cerulean Studios works very hard to ensure your transition from a "native" client to Trillian is seamless. There are certain features that we don't necessarily agree with or think makes sense within Trillian, but we are constantly adding new ones each release. Drop us a line if you think something we've missed should be added!
Do I need other software installed to connect to these networks?
No. Trillian connects on its own and does not rely on other software.
Is there Mac or Linux support?
No.
