Folder Lock can lock any file, folder and even drive on your computer. To password-protect your data this way, enter correct password and then click the 'browse' link below the 'Lock' button and follow the instructions. In the menu choose, 'Lock folders and drives' option. Then Select the folder or drive you want to password-protect. Once you click the 'OK' button, the item gets hidden from your computer immediately, without the need to refresh. That's how powerful Folder Lock is, it uses kernel-level locking and makes the locked items totally inaccessible, and also invisible, undeletable and unmovable. See images below for clarification.

How to Unlock these folders or drives?
To unlock these folders or drives, click 'browse' and then select the second option 'Unlock'. You can also right-click any drive and lock it through context menu in Windows Explorer. However if you want your files and folders to be protected in real DOS-Mode or Safe-Mode, then we suggest you to keep your files and folders in the 'Locker' folder and lock them up.

Lock multiple items at once, in one go!
When it comes to ease of use and convenience, Folder Lock does a pretty good job. It can lock/unlock all your items in the locked items menu list without having to select each and every item one by one. This you can do by right-clicking the locked folder list (anywhere) and then select 'Check All' to lock all the items or select 'Uncheck All' to unlock them. Since you can check/uncheck a particular folder or drive item from the list to lock/unlock it, it is very easy to keep your favorite private items in the locked item list.

Locking through Windows right-click (context menu)
Folder Lock also offers right-click context menu option to lock folders and drives. This option also works for files. You can lock any file or folder by right-clicking it in Windows via My Computer or Windows Explorer. When you right-click a file, you will see an option 'Lock file with Folder Lock', select it and you will be able to lock any file or folder on your computer. Make sure that context menu option is enabled by clicking Options > Advanced Options > Context Menu, make sure it is checked otherwise right-click options will not show Folder Lock options.
