Real Alternative, designed by KL Software, is a codec pack for playing RealMedia files without installing RealPlayer.

This codec pack is bundled with lots of free codec packs using Real Media Splitter and Real Media Codecs.

Highlight Features:
  • Support: RealAudio (.ra .rpm), RealMedia (.rm .ram .rmvb .rpx .smi .smil), RealText (.rt), ReadPix (.rp), RealMedia embedded in webpages.


    • Limitations:
  • only play the first part of a clip on .smi and .smil files.
  • not support Real Time Streaming Protocol (rtsp://)
