Good:

Before testing VSO PhotoDVD, I used to select MS Office PowerPoint to deal with photos if I want to make a series photo slideshow. Compared with PPT, VSO PhotoDVD is more powerful and easy to use; also, the interface is friendly. So it's worth recommending.

Bad:

The settings need to improve. I'm interested in the photo's visual effects then I tried this function, finding that there are only two changeable effects. When I selected one effect, the result is not as nice as I imagined. When the editing process is done, this app quit that we cannot see the works-unless launching it again.

Benefits:

I like taking photos and I've kept a number of them. It's a way to reduce pressure-when I was stressed out, I would appreciate these works with happy memories. You know, the power of a DC cannot support too long and then I copied them in my computer. The photos is not sequential, however, the fun of appreciation them is reduced a lot.

Then, a friend told me to make a PPT file which can create a sequence photo slideshow. I did and was satisfied with its works.

After trying VSO PhotoDVD, I prefer this tool to PPT because it is more convenient and powerful, you don't need to do a lot-what you need do is to follow the navigation and then select. The files can be written on DVD which means you can also make your photo DVDs and display them through a DVD player. The design is considerate for users' recreation, for you can add some audio files to the photo slideshows, which means your photo DVDs are multi-media files instead of mere pictures.

Setup:

The installation takes only a few seconds. There is not any spyware, adware or malware in it, so users would not worry about the safety. There are about 9.0MB space occupied after installation, which can be ignored since the moderate configuration of hard disc is 80GB among today's users'.

VSO PhotoDVD does offer a quick door to uninstall, that is, you could remove the software by its automatic setting.

Interface:

When I first launched this app, the interface is quite simple-the main tabs are on the top; there is a preview window and a large frame to list images; there are also some buttons on the bottom for you to adjust images.

When you move your mouse cursor to “File” tab then select “Add file”, the frames shows the selected images, so does the preview window.

There are other parameters for seasoned users as well as greenhorns to meet their needs. You can fix language, subtitle, DVD formats and so on.

System Requirements:

The optimized operating system for VSO PhotoDVD is Windows XP, or Vista. The Help File is an online one, but the detailed information about system requirements is little involved. The RAM requires at least 512MB, while the recommended is 1GB.

Conclusion:

VSO PhotoDVD runs very stable and performs perfectly on my computer. It's worth recommending for users who are fond of collecting photos. Through this app, you can store photos not only in your computer folders, but also write on DVDs. In addition, there is a function designed for more entertainments that you can add audio files to your photo slideshow files. After the works done by it, the visual and hearing appreciations are satisfied.

As I've mentioned above, there should be more visual effects for photos instead of two. I also hope the publisher could solve the problem in next version that the works would observe on the spot instead of launching the program again.

I'm looking forward to next version!
