Doppler is a podcast aggregator to subscribe to RSS feeds which supply downloadable files Doppler is a podcast aggregator that helps you subscribe to RSS feeds which supply downloadable files.
Doppler will go out and fetch the files enclosed in the RSS feed and will automatically add them to your preferred media player. And it does this in a very smooth unattended manner.
Here are some key features of "Doppler":
You can drop an URL on the Doppler subscription list. A new feed dialog will pop up allowing you to add a feed.
If you do not enter a name for a feed, Doppler will attempt to retrieve the name from the feed.
Doppler can start up in in minimized mode, check Tools -> Options
You can specify where to store the files you download.
Doppler can run at a scheduled interval to retrieve feeds
If you add a feed to Doppler you can specify the number of files to download. This will restrict the download to only include the last number of enclosures.
Doppler keeps track of your downloads in a history. You can manage the history from within Doppler.
You can restrict the allowable size of downloads
You can filter your items by text.
You can import and export a list of feeds.
Doppler supports both Windows Media Player and Apple iTunes
You can automatically import your bloglines subscriptions
You can specify spacesavers to make sure you don't run out of diskspace
You can automatically convert your downloaded mp3 files to m4b/aac format if you use iTunes
You can rewrite the ID3 of downloaded mp3 files using smart tags
You can clean up your downloads by rating in your media player.
