DirectEncode

DirectEncode allows developers to encode all types of media to MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 from within their applications DirectEncode is implemented as a DirectShow Filter allowing developers to encode all types of media to MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 from within their programs.

The Standard MPEG Encoder lets you encode your video and audio data to standard compliant MPEG-1, MPEG-2 as well as MPEG-4 data. Access is possible over the DirectShow environment or over direct DLL access.

The Standard MPEG Encoder SDK is a software development kit which developers can plug into their existing applications to create standards compliant MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 video and audio files. For example:

  • Your application converts between various video format
  • Your application captures video from a TV card or the internet
  • Your application makes slideshows, and creates video data from photos
  • Your application cuts and edits video, and exports to various formats

    The Standard MPEG Encoder SDK allows different ways of using it
  • As a DirectShow MPEG Encoder Filter
  • As a DLL with direct access to the encoder interface

    You can use it from various environments
  • C++ as a DirectShow Filter or Direct DLL access
  • VB.NET and VB over the supplied ActiveX control wrapper
  • C# over the ActiveX or as a DirectShow filter directly
