Copy DVD5 to DVD5 discs

In addition to supporting copy DVD movie from DVD9 disc to another DVD9 disc, DVD-Cloner VI also allows you to backup DVD movie from DVD5 to DVD5 and DVD9 to DVD5 disc.

To copy DVD movie from D5 to D5 discs, please follow steps list below.

Step1. Launch DVD-Cloner V by double click shortcut on desktop.

If you have not installed DVD-Cloner VI on computer, download and install it. After DVD-Cloner is running, your will see interface of DVD-Cloner VI (see below).

Step2. Put original DVD disc into DVD-ROM or DVD Burner. then DVD-Cloner VI will automatically detect and found DVD movie. Then basic information of DVD disc including size, name etc will appear.

Step3. Select D5 to D5 option in the menu.

Step4. Connect DVD Burner with your PC and put a blank DVD5 disc into DVD Burner and click the button "start ", then DVD Cloner will automatically start to copy DVD movie. In the process of copying, DVD Cloner will remind you to put another DVD5 disc into DVD burner after the first DVD5 disc was fully wrote.

What's the difference between DVD9 and DVD5?

DVD-9 (Single Side Dual Layer )

D9 holds around 8 540 000 000 bytes and that is 7.95 computer GB. DVD+R supports this format. This media is called DVD+R9, DVD+R DL or 8.5 GB Media. A DVD-9 (dual layer) disc and hold 240 minutes of continuous video.

DVD-5 ( Single Side Single Layer )

D5 holds around 4 700 000 000 bytes and that is 4.37 computer GB where 1 kbyte is 1024 bytes* . DVD+R/DVD+RW and DVD-R/DVD-RW supports this format. Also called Single Sided Single Layered. This is the most common DVD Media, often called 4.7 GB Media. A DVD-5 disc will hold nominally 133 minutes of high quality MPEG-2 encoded video, together with three surround-sound audio channels and four subtitle channels. (Without video compression one DVD-5 disc would hold only about 3 minutes of video).
