The main window of Drug Wars - Underworld is where you'll be spending most of your time. It is your command center in your battle for profits and glory.

The main window is divided into seven sections. These sections each serve a specific purpose.

Location Map

In the upper left corner of the window sits the Location Map. This map shows the current city, with each of the locations within the city outlined. Your current location is highlighted.

The Location Map is used to change locations (which in turn, advances the game). You can jump to any location shown by clicking on the locations area.

The Location Map area also provides quick access to important places in your current location, including: the hospital, loan sharks, banks, the store, and for registered users, the airport. You can access any of these places by clicking its button just below the Location Map.

Character

The Character window, just to the right of the map, displays information about the current game and your character. The current day and location is displayed, as well as your cash on hand, your total debt, and you bank account balance.

In addition, two status bars display your current health level and current inventory space usage.

The Market

The Market displays the product available in the current location. This list includes the products, their prices, and the quantity available. Registered users who are carrying a laptop will also see trend indicators in the market display.

The Market can be sorted by name, availability, or price by clicking on the column headers. You can buy any product by double clicking it, or select any product by single clicking it.

Your Inventory

Your Inventory displays the product currently in your inventory. Product which you buy from the Market is displayed here for you to sell. This list includes the product name, the quantity on hand, and the average price paid.

You can sort your inventory by name, quantity, or by price. You can sell any product by double clicking it, or select any product by single clicking it.

Action Toolbar

The Action Toolbar lets you access common functions. Some of these actions use selected products, and some open special tools.

• Buy The buy button buys the selected product from the Market.
  
  
• Sell The sell button sells the selected product from your inventory.
  
  
• Drop The drop button drops the selected product from your inventory.
  
  
• Charts
  Registered Users Only
  The charts button opens the charts and graphs interface, if you are carrying a laptop computer.
  
  
• Inform
  Registered Users Only
  The inform button opens the informants window where you can manage your informants.
  
  
• Thugs
  Registered Users Only
  The thugs button opens the thugs window where you can manage your thugs.

Messages

The Messages window displays important information on a daily basis. This information may include tips from informants or other sources, general information about a location, or a variety of other messages. When the message window is hidden, messages will display in a pop-up window.

Status Bar

The Status Bar displays information about the currently selected product in the Market or in your inventory (whichever is active). If you are carrying a calculator, a profit calculation is displayed for items in your inventory. Registered users who are packing the laptop can also see the average price for products in the Market.
