Vertify that the latest version of the EASYSHARE Software is installed. If the latest version of the software is not installed, go to KODAK EASYSHARE Software and download the latest version, free of charge.
If the latest version is installed, but you still experience difficulty:
- Connect your camera to your computer.
- Turn on your camera(camera driver).
The WIA drivers automatically detect your camera and display a window for transferring images. Click Cancel to close this window.
- Open the Device Manager:
- Right-click My Computer, then select Properties.
- Select the Hardware tab in the System Properties window.
- Click Device Manager.
- Click the plus (+) sign to the left of Imaging Devices or Universal Serial Bus Controller, depending on the version of software installed on your computer. Your Kodak camera should be listed.
- Double-click your camera model name.
- Select the Driver tab.
- Click Update Driver.
- If you have installed WINDOWS XP Service Pack 2 or later, your system displays the Hardware Update Wizard. Select No, not this time, then click Next.
- Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), then click Next.
- Click Don't search. I will choose the driver to install, then click Next.
- Select the Digital Still Camera for WIA drivers if you are having trouble using the drivers for Kodak products, or select the Kodak camera if switching from WIA to Kodak, then click Next.
- Click Finish.
- If the program selection window appears, select Kodak EasyShare software.
- Select Always use this program for this action, then click OK to transfer your pictures.
