Reinstall USB driver for iPod
When drivers required by a PC's USB interface are not installed correctly or are out of date, an iPod connected to this computer may not be recognized properly.

The outdate drivers may cause following problems:One or more of the following may occur:
- iPod is not recognized in My Computer
- iPod does not appear in iTunes
- iPod cannot be restored in iTunes
- iPod screen does not display "Do Not Disconnect" screen when connected to the computer
- An exclamation point appears next to the iPod's entry in Device Manager
So, you need to reinstall the USB driver for iPod.
- Right-click the iPod's entry in Device Manager and choose Uninstall from the shortcut menu.
- In the resulting dialog box, click OK.
- In the Device Manager window, right-click Universal Serial Bus controllers and choose Scan for hardware changes from the shortcut menu.
Windows automatically reinstalls the necessary USB drivers and attempt to remount the iPod.
