Prinrting problem about HP Deskjet F2100 series and F4100 series
Solution to printing issue about HP F2100 series and F4100 series.

Assume that you have a Hewlett-Packard (HP) Deskjet printer installed on a Windows Vista-based computer. After you update the computer to Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2), the printer no longer uses black ink when it prints. Additionally, the printer's color quality decreases.
This printing problem occurs when you use a printer from the HP Deskjet F2100 series, F4100 series.
To resolve this problem - Uninstall and reinstall the HP software
Uninstall the HP software
- Click Start

, click All Programs.
- Click HP, and then click the HP software.
- Click Uninstall.
- Follow the instructions.
Reinstall the HP software
Use one of the following options to reinstall the HP software.
- Install the HP software by using the HP installation CD
- Insert the installation CD that was included with the printer into the computer's CD or DVD drive.
- When the installation screen appears, follow the instructions to install the HP software.
- Install the HP software by using the downloaded software
- Visit the following HP Web site:
http://www.hp.com
- Locate the product page by searching the product name and number. You might also have to select the product in a list of similar products in the search results window.
- Click the Full Feature Software and Drivers link to download the software for your printer.
- After the download is completed, double-click the downloaded file to install the HP software and drivers.
