Intel believes that its 4 series of chipsets and platforms based on it will slip to mainstream and value into 2011, but there might be one additional refresh of this chipset platform in 2009.
Windows 7 is based on Vista, and should be looked at as an updated version of the not-so-popular Windows Vista.
Since 4-series chipsets are good enough for Vista, the same is to be expected of Windows 7's pretty interface.
