How to update the RAID driver on a Toshiba Portege M400 mobile PC
This article describes how to update the RAID driver on a Toshiba Portege M400 mobile PC that is running Windows Vista.

Steps to follow:
- Obtain an updated RAID driver from the computer manufacturer. Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support.
- Copy the RAID driver to a location on the local computer or to a device that is connected to the local computer. For example, copy the RAID driver to the local hard disk or to a flash memory storage device.
- Click Start

, type device manager in the Start Search box, and then click Device Manager in the Programs list.

User Account Control permission.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.
- In the Device Manager dialog box, expand Storage controllers, and then double-click the Toshiba RAID device.
- In the Toshiba RAID Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver.
- Click Browse, and then locate the folder in which you saved the updated RAID driver.
- Click OK, and then click Next. Windows Vista updates the RAID driver.
- After the RAID driver is updated successfully, restart the computer.
