Dell´s Rapid Driver program
The Dell Rapid Driver (Dell driver) program provides you with updated drivers for high-end video cards on both Desktop and Portable XPS computers. Three different driver revisions will be available for download on the http://support.dell.com website.
What Systems are Part of the Dell Rapid Release Program?
Rapid driver releases are tested on and available for all of Dell's currently shipping XPS products, both mobile and desktop. To date, the platforms who are part of the program are:
- M170
- M1710
- M1730
- 700
- 710
- 710HC
- 720
- 720HC
Some video cards are used on multiple Dell platforms, and the rapid driver release will show up when searching for drivers on those platforms. However, Dell tests the rapid driver release only on the XPS systems listed above, so there may be additional stability issues associated with use on those non-tested platforms.
Rapid Driver releases are generally posted to fix gaming specific issues. Only advanced users should consider using them and there is a chance that installing these drivers can result in data loss or system instability. Dell recommends using the drivers originally shipped with your computer.
