Assassin's Creed is a historical fantasy and science fiction third person action video game. In time of crusades and fierce battles for the Holy Land, nobody's life is easy, even a professional killer's like Altair. Players take on the role of Desmond Miles, a 25 year old bartender.

In Assassin's Creed, bartender Desmond Miles is kidnapped by Abstergo. The primary goal of the game is to carry out a series of assassinations ordered by Al Mualim, the leader of the Assassins. He is to be used as a test subject in the Animus, a device that can read the memories of Desmond's ancestors through the genetic memory left behind in their descendants' DNA. Desmond gose back of the year 1191 AD. In there Desmond find his ancestors Altair's memory, and help his master kill nine Knights. But finally, he find it is just just a conspiracy.

In Assassin's Creed II, after escaping from Abstergo, Desmond enters a device which is more advanced than the original Animus, the Animus 2.0, and relives the genetic memories of ancestral nobleman Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who lived during the Renaissance period of the late 15th century in Italy. The player controls Ezio, who becomes an Assassin after his father and brothers are murdered by a traitor to the Auditore family. While controlling Ezio, the player can explore game renditions of Italian cities, regions and landmarks in open world gameplay.
