iPod.iTunes - Add-synchronization in both directions

Unlike other iPod software to copy songs off the iPod to iTunes, iPod.iTunes does add-synchronization, even in two directions if desired. iPod.iTunes combines easy of use with user guiding and unique features.

Synchronization from iTunes to iPod is especially useful if you want to synchronize from your iTunes library to an iPod which is iTunes-synced with another iTunes library.

iPod.iTunes evaluates the source for content (songs, videos, podcasts and/or playlists) and only adds missing content seamlessly to the target, without duplicates, saving your time.

Unlike iTunes’ own one-way mirror-synchronization iPod.iTunes leaves your content intact, nothing will be deleted during synchronizations (add-synchronization).

iPod.iTunes can also transfer song dependent meta data like “My Rating”, “Last Played”, “Play Count”, album artwork, etc…

iPod.iTunes can be used to:

1.Keep songs/videos and playlists on different Macs and iPods up to date.
2.Do a full restore of songs/videos and playlists from your iPod - i.e. after a hard disk failure or if you buy a new Mac.
3.Revert accident deletion of songs, videos and playlists in iTunes, if these are still on your iPod.
4.Synchronize from iTunes to a “foreign” iPod (an iPod linked/synced to another iTunes library) without deleting the iPod, like iTunes does.
5.Synchronize to a linked/synced iPod without deleting content on it as iTunes’ own synchronization does when content on the iPod is no longer in the iTunes library.
6.Transfer an iTunes library from one Mac to another via an iPod.
7.Clone an iPod (see the application’s Help menu).
8.Backup an iPod. (see the application’s Help menu).

iPodifier - Watch TiVo / SageTV on your iPod

If you have TiVo, Windows Media Center, SageTV or some other device to capture TV content, iPodifier will automatically grab the content from these sources and put it on your iPod, nicely organized into video playlists. You missed The Daily Show lastnight? It will be on your iPod for the train ride in the morning.

Basically, iPodifier is an application that automates the process of getting videos onto your iPod. Unlike other transcoding software that simple re-encodes the video into an iPod compatible format, iPodifier takes it a few steps further. iPodifier automates the entire process of getting video from any source onto your iPod.

iPodifier will automatically:

* Check for new video
* Transcode new video into an iPod compatible format
* Add the transcoded video to iTunes
* Organize videos into video playlists
* Sync your iPod

In addition to automating these basic functions, iPodifier also does the following:

* Accepts video from a wide variety of sources (i.e. TiVo, Bittorrent, SageTV, Windows Media Center)
* Monitors multiple video source directories for new video and adds new videos to the transcoding queue
* Manage quotas for TV shows (i.e. lets you set how many South Park’s you want to keep on your iPod)
* Creates a Podcast for any show (comming soon)
* Video preview window allows you to preview any of your source or transcoded iPod videos

What’s new in iPodifier v1.5:

* dvr-ms files are handled natively (DVRMSToolbox is no longer necessary) using the latest version of ffmpeg
* metadata (i.e. showname, episode and description) contained in the dvr-ms file is captured and xferred to iTunes
* If you have bittorrent files or any other downloaded TV series, if you use the file naming convention: Showname-S01E01 Episode.xxx, then the season and episode numbers will be transferred to iTunes.
* video source wizards have been improved to make selection of appropriate resolutions for iPod/iPhone easier
* metadata for SageTV is now captured from xml info file rather than filename (much more reliable)
* iPodifier can be started minimized and with encoding enabled by using the command-line switch “/START” (i.e. start iPodifier using ipodifer.exe /START). You can then put a shortcut to iPodifier in your Startup folder and it will start automatically on reboots

Pod to Mac - Freeware to copy music from iPod to Mac

Pod to Mac is freeware that lets you copy or transfer music, videos and playlists from an iPod or iPhone to your Mac and into iTunes.

In Pod to Mac 3.02 numerous bugs have been fixed and several features have been added. Highlights include: (1) Automatic disk-mode hijacking, a feature which switches iPods into disk mode as soon as they are connected to the computer so users can avoid the dangerous “Sync” steps in iTunes typically required to enable disk mode. (2) real-time iPod unloading has been added and now lets you swap between multiple iPods without having to restart the program (this feature existed before for iPhones, but now works on all iPods). (3) A bug causing tracks to transfer as read-only has been resolved and now playcounts and more are being recovered 100% of the time (in internal tests). (4) Several other bug fixes have been added.
