IDautomation Code 128 Font Advantage Package

Code 128 Font Advantage Package allows you to print USS Code 128, EAN14, UCC128, EAN128, SSCC18 and SCC14 barcodes from MS Windows, Macintosh, UNIX and a variety of other operating systems; TrueType, BDF, FON, PCL laserjet soft fonts, PostScript (type 1) Binary and ASCII versions are provided.

Code 128 Font Advantage Package is much more than just a few fonts. This package contains 18 different Code 128 font versions in 6 different font formats.

You also receive font tools, macros and source code to help you integrate the fonts into your application. Implementing barcode solutions with our fonts provides a high level of scalability with operating system, application and printer independence.

Font Tools Provided - to help users integrate barcode fonts into their applications, we provide font tools that are free to use with our fonts that include MS Office Macros for Word, Excel and Access with VBA, FileMaker Pro Plug-ins, Oracle Reports Libraries, Visual Basic, C++, PowerBuilder, FoxPro and JAVA Source Code, LotusScript, DLLs, Crystal Reports User Function Libraries (UFLs) and a check digit calculation application with Visual Basic and FoxPro source code as a free download for programmers and technical users. The DLLs, macros, UFLs and code provided automatically format the start, stop and check characters to the barcode font. Our MS Office Macros for Word, Excel and Access also include special functions for the creation of EAN14, SSC14, SSCC18 and USPS Special Services bar codes. These functions automatically add in the required application identifier as well as calculate the MOD 10 check digit and the symbology check digit. USPS Special Services also requires the OCR-A font.

Cross-platform Support - the unique encoding in our font allows cross-platform support between UNIX, Macintosh and Windows systems. For example, the same Microsoft? Access application or Excel spreadsheet with our Microsoft Office Macros can be used on Windows and Macintosh computers that have our font installed.

UCC/EAN-128 Support - when using our Code 128 fonts for UCC-128 or EAN-128 barcodes, every barcode must begin with a Start C character followed by a (fnc1) "function code one" character. Our Code128() function in our font tools provides an automated method for doing this by inserting an ASCII 202 character (¨o) for each AI represented. Read more about how to encode UCC/EAN in our Code 128 FAQ. UCC-128 and EAN-128 are primarily used for distribution applications and serialized carton tracking. Our new Code128() function with the ASCII 202 character representing each AI replaces the "FA" used in the UCC128() function in older versions of our font tools.

Six Different Heights Provided - The Code 128 barcode fonts are scaleable and should be printed at the correct font size to suit your application and scanning equipment. In addition to using the point size to set the font width, six (6) versions of the Code 128 barcode fonts are provided to support different height requirements. The last character in the Code 128 barcode font name determines the height of the barcode with the shortest being AdvC128a and the tallest being AdvC128f.

Human Readable Versions - of the Code 128 fonts are also provided for character sets B and C with your order. Each of these is also supplied in the 6 different heights for a total of 18 different Code 128 fonts. The Code128 human readable fonts all start with C128 and include the letter "H" after a lower case letter specifying the character set. For example, the font "C128bHe.ttf" is a human readable font for character set B with a height of E. The human readable format is not as popular as the standard version because the check digit will also appear. Usually, programmers will just print the data that is encoded directly below the barcode printed.

Industry Standards - our Code 128 barcode fonts are created from AIM and ISO standards. When printing Code 128 barcode fonts, the point size of 12 or greater should be used for compatibility between open systems.

Supports Small Barcodes - the encoding techniques in this font package produce dependable barcodes when printed at large and small point sizes. If you have a requirement to print barcodes smaller than 12 points, a high quality laser printer with 600 DPI resolution or greater should be used with a barcode scanner that can read barcodes printed smaller than 8 mils. Printed with a 600 DPI Laserjet, we have been able to dependably scan our Code 128 font printed at 6 points with the HHP CCD scanner and at 8 points with the Symbol USB Cobra Laser Scanner.

USPS Support - when printed at 20 points, the AdvC128d font will produce the exact dimensions for UCC/EAN Code 128 required by the USPS special services, which is a height of .75" and an X dimension of .013". Canada Post Support - when printed at 25 points, the AdvC128d font will produce the dimensions required by the CANADA POST, which is a height of 1" and an X dimension of .017".

Easy Function Encoding Capability - Our fonts provide easy methods of encoding functions such as returns and tabs in the barcode.

Multiple Formats Provided - when you purchase a license for this font, you will receive all versions in a single ZIP file. The manual is supplied in a file named "readme" in the ZIP file.
