Description for Samsung MPEG-4 Movie Decoder
For playback of videos produced with certain Samsung digital cameras.
Notes: The decoder is DirectShow (will play in Windows Media Player), but only the encoder is VfW (Video for Windows) - meaning you can encode into SEDG in VirtualDub (from a non-SEDG source), but not edit SEDG videos (cut, merge, etc.) To edit SEDG files in VirtualDub, download 3ivx, (3ivx can both decode and encode in SEDG)
Mac users can also use 3ivx to decode SEDG in QuickTime.

The decoder will also play files with fourcc SMP4. 3ivx doesn¡¯t appear to handle that fourcc ATM, so those wishing to edit may need to change the fourcc.
