"After using the free demo for over a week, I'm more than happy with the stability and consistency of CAM Wizard when compared to the other shareware solutions for cam software with motion detect, that's why I've just registered. I'm very pleased with my purchase. Just one question though: could you incorporate a SMTP server into CAM Wizard? My ISP uses SMTP authentication which CAM Wizard can't work with!"

Question:

Hi, I am the very happy registered user of CAM Wizard and I love the internet access. I was wondering if it is possible to embed the live cam image into my home page so that I can have the live feed shown on screen at the same time as all my other links. I am using MS Frontpage to create my homepage.

Answer:

Yes this can be done, if you can already view your cam using your permanent URL, then simply add "/image1.jpg" onto the end of your permanent URL as shown in the setup screen.

So the URL you should use as the image source on your webpage should look something like this:

After the image has loaded, you can hit your browsers F5 button to refresh the feed.

Of course if you've chosen another name for the cached image in the HTTP Setup Screen then you will have to add that into the end istead of "image1.jpg".

HTTP Not working?

If you can't establish a HTTP server connection with CAM Wizard then you can use the FTP upload option:

  1. Read the FTP Setup Screen instructions
  2. Follow the FTP remote viewer instructions

Cam Wizard enables you to turn your web cam into a motion detection system, that can capture video.
