|
WebMotD is based on the idea of a "Message of The Day". On the users web site an area is nominated for a message of up to 1024 characters. The area is identified by a unique key. WebMotD uses a copy of the original webpage and substitutes the user message for the key. The updated web page is then sent to the web host using FTP. The website developer only need setup the target page once and all further message updates can be done without their help or expense.
Once WebMotD is setup the settings can be hidden and password protected (Pro only) making the product secure and also easy to use by office staff at any level. No HTML or web designer product expertise is required to use this product.
WebMotD does not require your webhost to use PHP, Pearl, CGI, ASP or any other programming language.
WebMotD runs on any Windows platform from Windows 95 to XP.
WebMotD works with any Internet connection such dial-up modem, Broadband ADSL, ISDN, Cable and satellite.
WebMotD can be used to publish to either an off-site web host using FTP or to an internal location for a company intranet. The off-site host can be a professional webhosting company or an ISP provided site. The internal publish is also useful for testing WebMotD with the web site before going live.
This product is perfect for businesses of any size requiring frequent website updates. Examples include Hotel Room or Guest House availability, Restuarant Menu updates, High-St Retailer special-deals etc. The website can be updated as often as required.
There are two versions of the product. The Standard version allows the update of one website only. The Pro version allows multiple site and multiple message management. Purchasers can upgrade from Standard to Pro at any time.
