Manage your address book quickly and easily with Personal Address Book
Personal Address Book was designed to allow a user to easily keep names and addresses handy in one single place. It is by no means intended to compete with large programs of a similar nature. The intended audience is that large group of casual computer users who want something simple and easy to use.

It's pretty easy to figure out how to use it. The buttons at the top provide navigation and other functions. Let the mouse float over any button to get a hint as to its usage.

Use the "search" button for a quick grid type search of all entries. This grid permits searching by any of the indexed fields; name, e-mail, phone or postal code.

Note: Switching the sort method in this grid is the same as choosing a new sort method from the menu.

The "clone" button can be very helpful when adding several people in the same family with the same phone numbers, etc., but with different e-mail addresses.

The program provides space for two e-mail addresses for each person entered. The "E-Mail" button has a drop down menu to send a new message to either the primary or secondary address.

The program defaults to sorting by name but other sorts are also available via the "Sort" menu. Sorting always returns to the Name (Alpha) sort order when the program starts.

The print button permits printing a "phone book". This is accomplished by running a template file - which is a specially constructed rich text document - and produces a document in your default word processor set up to handle rich text documents.

In many cases this will be Microsoft Word, but Wordpad that comes with Windows also will work. We've not tested this function with other word processors, but any similar program that handles rich text should work.
