Our very popular Series 4 Complex Scheduler is the basis for the Daily Shifts & Tasks spreadsheet with the added feature of the ability to assign your people to daily tasks. This spreadsheet is ideal for libraries and other businesses that need to assign their employees to daily shifts and one or more daily tasks in 30 minute increments throughout the day. For example your library staff may take turns at the front desk, answering phones, returning books to the stacks, etc. You can even assign 30 minute or one hour lunch breaks. In addition, the S8-Daily Shifts & Tasks spreadsheets keep track of your daily and weekly payroll based on employee hourly salary and scheduled hours including daily and weekly overtime pay.

Employees are assigned to daily shifts, locations and categories for one week from drop-down menus of qualified individuals. Daily tasks are then assigned to your employees via drop-down menus of people available for the 30 minute increment. Once someone is assigned to a 30 minute task he/she is removed from the menu for consideration for other tasks during the same 30 minutes. This prevents you from assigning someone to overlapping tasks during the day or to tasks before or after the employee is scheduled to be at work.

The Daily Shifts and Tasks spreadsheet creates schedules where each employee can be assigned to a category, a location and a time each day for one week. Employees can then be assigned to various daily tasks in 30 minute increments. The spreadsheet keeps track of your payroll budget based on employee wages and scheduled hours.
