What is the purpose?

Removes a lot of the work of creating basic web application templates. With approximately 6000 lines of code plus a database it can save you 40+ hours of work.

Although, this is ready to be installed on a site as is, it is not intended to be a finished product, nor would it likely provide any value without modification. You are supposed to update the look and feel, and add additional features where you see fit.
