The CertifyID Blackbox^TM is a unique product offering a complete and affordable out-of-the box solution for establishing a Trusted Identity Infrastructure dedicated to your organisation. The CertifyID Blackbox^TM enables easy and effective digital certificate and identity management within your organisation by providing the OISTE Trust Model and leveraging the maximum out of the Digital Certification Technology in the Windows Server platform.

This combination extends a trust system which was previously reserved to a few, within the reach of every organisation. User certificates are issued by your own Windows Certification Authority, which is linked to the OISTE WISeKey Root Certification Authority via the WISeKey CertifyID Standard G1 Policy CA and therefore trusted outside of your organization.

The CertifyID Blackbox^TM simplifies delivery, deployment, and management of the CertifyID CA by guiding the user through the installation of the foundation of their certificate infrastructure and provides essential components, including:

  • 1 Certification Authority (CA) Certificate, valid ONE year, renewable annually
• 250 end-entity certificates (eIDs), valid ONE year, renewable annually (There is an annual renewal fee for the first 250 eIDs, and additional eIDs can be purchased at any time)
• Data Persistence component - Guardian - for CA reliability, recoverability, and business continuity
• Web Services API for Digital Certificate Management

The CertifyID Blackbox^TM assists you with the following tasks:

• Creating your key pair on the included smartcard and obtaining your Administrator Certificate;
• Setting-up of your Certificate Authority, including generation of the CA key pair and online certificate request procedure to joing the OISTE WISeKey Trust Network;
• Managing your CA status and CertifyID service settings via secure online access to the web management console using your administrator certificate;
• Managing your digital certificates and users via the included Web Services API (Basic URA);
• Developing your Certificate Practices Statement (CPS) using licensed templates;
• Publishing your certificates and CRLs via the included publishing software;
• Safeguarding your CA, and allowing recovery in case of a disaster using the included data persistence and high availability module (Guardian)
