How to add, delete, copy a partition group by using BootIt Next Generation |

| How to add a partition group |
1. On the desktop, click Partition Work. |
2. In the Partitions list, select the FAT/FAT32 partition to which you want to add a group, and
then click Groups under Actions. |
3. In the Groups dialog box, click Add. |
4. In the Add Group dialog box, type the name of the group that you want to add, and then
enter a description. |
5. Click Add to add a file, and then type the full path name (or click Browse) using the DOS
8.3 naming convention for each file that should be part of the group. |

If you want the file in the group to be updated automatically if it is changed on the
partition, select the Apply Changes Automatically check box. If it’s not checked, then you’ll be notified whenever the file has been altered and given an
option on what to do.

7. Click OK. |
8. Complete steps 5 to 7 for as many files as you want to add, and then click OK. |
9. Complete steps 3 to 8 for as many groups as you want to add, and then click Close. |

Groups are used in conjunction with the Multi-OS feature allowing certain files to be
automatically replaced on Multi-OS setup.

| How to delete a partition group |
1. On the desktop, click Partition Work. |
2. In the Partitions list, select the partition from which you want to delete a group. |
3. Under Actions, click Groups. |
4. In the Groups dialog box, select the name of the group that you want to delete, and then
click Delete. |
5. Complete step 4 for as many groups as you want to delete, and then click Close. |

| How to copy a partition group |
1. On the desktop, click Partition Work. |
2. In the Partitions list, select the partition from which you want to copy a group. |
3. Under Actions, click Groups. |
4. In the Groups dialog box, select the name of the group that you want to copy. |
5. Click Copy, and then click Close. |

| View partition properties |

1. On the desktop, click Partition Work. |
2. In the Partitions list, select the partition or volume that you want to know more about, and
then click Properties under Actions. |
3. In the Properties dialog box, under Partition Information, review the Name of the
partition, File System type, and Size. Click Details to review the partition's Free and Used space. |
4. Under Options, if you want the option of having multiple operating systems boot from the
selected partition, select the Multi-OS check box. |
| This option isn’t needed if you’re going to have each operating system in its own dedicated
bootable partition. |
5. Under LBA Information, review the Start and End values. |
6. Under Additional Information, review other information such as the Bootable file system, Cluster size, and other notes. |
| The process of viewing partition properties also checks for some common partition errors; if
any errors are found, BootIt NG either prompts you with an option to fix the issues or
displays a warning message. |
7. Click OK. |
