How to Remove sound from a video clip and add audio from another video
In this topic we will describe how to remove the input audio from your video and add audio from another video clip. Let's consider we have two video clips located at your hard drive: VideoClip_1 and VideoClip_2. Suppose, we want to get video from VideoClip_1 with audio from VideoClip_2.
To do that you should follow the steps below:
Step 1: Import the source video files into AVS Video Editor.
-
To import the video please click the Import Media button in the Start menu pane.

-
After that select the Add Video button, the Import Files standard explorer window will appear.

Here you should select the files for importing ( VideoClip_1 and VideoClip_2 ) and click Open . After you are done, click the Import button.
You can visually judge the importing process with the help of Preview . To cancel importing click the Cancel button. You can also see the quantity of scenes found in the imported movie.
Please note that you can simply drag the files to be imported from the Explorer and drop them to the Media Library .
When the necessary file is imported into AVS Video Editor , you are ready to place the imported videos to the storyboard .
Step 2: Place VideoClip_1 to the storyboard.
 |
To start placing the imported video to the storyboard please click the Create Video icon in the Edit Movie menu pane. |
After that you will find the Media Library items and clips present in the highlighted item in the Media Library and the Workspace displayed in the Storyboard mode. Working in this mode you can add or remove video clips from your project, change the sequence of clips at storyboard, trim video clips added to your project.
To add video to the storyboard please use drag-and-drop method: drag the desired video icon from the Media Library to the Storyboard . In our example you should add VideoClip_1 to the Storyboard .

After that it's time to apply audio from VideoClip_2 .
Step 3: Apply audio from VideoClip_2 to the Timeline working in the Add Audio mode.
-
To start adding your audio track you should switch into the Add Audio mode. For that please click the Add Audio button in the Edit Movie menu pane.

-
To add an audio track to the Timeline please use drag-and-drop method: drag the desired track icon from the Media Library to the Timeline . In our case you should drag VideoClip_2 icon from the Media Library . All of the audio from VideoClip_2 will be added to the Timeline .

Now it's time to adjust audio levels .
Step 4: Adjust the audio levels between the two audio tracks.
You can adjust the audio levels of the two audio tracks separately (the audio that VideoClip_1 contains and the audio from VideoClip_2 added to your project). Adjusting the audio levels determines which audio will play louder than the other. The default setting plays the audio in both tracks at equal levels. The audio levels you select will play throughout the entire portion of your movie. By adjusting the audio levels, it could be set so that dialog in your video clip can be heard over the music that plays in the background.
To adjust the audio levels please use the Set Audio Levels button at the Timeline menu. In the window appeared drag the slider to set a necessary audio level. So far as we want to remove our input sound completely (audio that VideoClip_1 contains) and at the same time we want the added audio track (audio from VideoClilp_2 ) to be heard all the way through our video, the Audio Levels should be set as shown:

After you are done, you should preview the result .
Step 5: Preview the result with the help of the Main Preview.
The Main Preview is intended for previewing the whole project with audio and all of the effects and changes you have made. This is exactly what we need!
-
Move the Timeline cursor to the position where you want to start previewing.
-
Click the Play Preview button.
-
Enjoy!!!
