I cannot register the program with the license key you sent. What should I do?

Answer:

Follow these steps to register the program:

1. Download the latest version of the program from our web site.
2. If you had an older version installed, please uninstall it and then install the latest version. If your older version was registered, you don't need to do anything else. Your latest version will automatically become registered as well.
3. After the installation, run the program and click the Register button. If you don't see the Register button, click Help in the program menu, and then About. This will bring up the registration dialog box.
4. Enter the User Name and License Key exactly as per the registration e-mail sent to you. To make the registration easier, copy your user name and license key directly from the email and paste in the registration box. To do this, select the user name and, holding "Ctrl", press "C". Then go to the registration box, click inside the "User Name" box and, holding "Ctrl", press "V". This should insert the user name that you previously copied. Repeat that for the license key.
5. To complete registration, press Register. The program will be registered and fully-functional.

Auslogics Speed works with Windows Vista/XP and Windows 2000/2003. It also supports 64-bit CPU.

How are tweaks rated in Tweak Manager?

Answer:

Each page in Tweak Manager has a tweak rating. Numbers from 1 to 3 specify how much effect the tweaks on this page have on your computer. If only 1 is highlighted, then the tweak has little effect on the performance. If 1, 2 and 3 are highlighted, the tweaks on this page are most powerful. Green tick means that the tweak can be used by a novice user and a red sign means that only experienced users should modify tweaks on this page.

What are risk levels in Registry Cleaner and Track Eraser?

Answer:

Some programs on the Internet, such as registry cleaners or disk cleaners try to find as many "problems" in a computer as possible, trying to impress the user. However, this is not always safe, as removing some of the "problems" will make the computer unstable. Therefore, BoostSpeed does not follow this trend, and only cleans "green" (safe) items by default. Novice users should only clean these items. Experienced users, who know more about Windows file system and the Registry can also choose to scan "orange" and "red" categories.

What are Windows services?

Answer:

A Windows service is a long-running program that performs specific functions and which is designed not to require user intervention. Usually, Windows services start when the Microsoft Windows operating system is booted and run in the background as long as Windows is running.

Once a service is installed, it can be managed by launching "Services" from the Windows Control Panel => Administrative Tools or typing "Services.msc" in the Run command on Start menu. Note that disabling services is dangerous and can reduce the functionality of your computer.

Auslogics will add a new optimization wizard and a simplified service manager into its BoostSpeed suite to help you disable the services that your computer does not need and leave the important services running.
