"Clockwork Mannequin" is an experimental techno/trance album, acclaimed by many as a true classic of the dance era! The story is based on a Mannequin who wants to break free of his prison the shop window, to experience the real life that he has seen through the glass, only to find that the World is not what he expected!

Inwardly alive to the beating of the drum, looking at the World through a plastic shell. Lifeless in form, stripped of who I am, a prisoner behind glass.

I must experience this World I have observed year upon year to feel the rain upon my face and the warmth of the Sun in my heart.

"Can you hear me whispering your name, can you see me or is it some kind of game, can you touch me, how do I feel, will you kiss me or am I so unreal?"

Where are the trees in this concrete town filled with monsters rocketing around? So many heads displaying sad faces appearing to have everything yet nothing at all! Like a tap on the shoulder I heard her voice, "Don't be afraid, don't run away, follow your dreams hear what I say. Open your mind, see through the darkness, someone is waiting for you, to pull you through."

Then like awakening from a dream, I walked through the trees as the moonlight was singing. My mind drifted off with the sound of the stars, then I caught a quick glimpse of a light in the darkness and saw a glowing fire burning deep in the woods. As I rested my weary head listening to the magic of the night, those who were there said, "Feel the spirit, the spirit that is within you, only then will you experience true freedom."

Disillusioned and frustrated like a blister on the brain. Isolated and rejected filled with hurt and pain, civilized society? They must be insane! Then I heard her voice calling out my name, "I am your friend until the end who wipes each tear year upon year. I am the innocence in your heart, the life force within you that no man can part."

I made my way to a phone, could this be the way back home? Dialling numbers from behind the glass my link from the future to the past. "Operator, can I help you, operator... is anybody there?" I heard again and again. Unable to create understanding I resigned to the fact that I was here to stay, on the outside looking in rather than on the inside wanting to break out!
