CD Stripper

CD Stripper is an CD recording program. It can strip (or "rip") songs off of an audio CD without even playing it, just like copying a file on your computer. After stripping the song, CD Stripper will save it on your computer's hard drive in either the standard Windows WAV or popular compressed MP3 format, or both.

New in version 4.0.1! CD Stripper will also let you record songs or sounds from audio sources ("External") that your computer's sound card supports if you are using Windows 95/98/ME. Such sources could include a cassette tape player, microphone, turntable, or anything else you can plug into the sound card.

What options does CD Stripper give me?
You can record WAV files in mono or stereo sound, at 8 or 16 bits per sample, and using 11025, 22050, or 44100 samples per second. The MP3 files can be saved at high quality 320 kbps, compact but low quality 32 kbps, or in between using industry standard compression rates of 64 or 128 kbps.
When stripping or recording from a CD, you have the option of copying a single track or telling CD Stripper to strip or record a series of tracks.
After saving the songs that you copy as either WAV files or MP3 files, you will need another software program to play them back. Windows provides one (Windows "MediaPlayer"), and we provide one free (our MultiMedia Jukebox) to all users who purchase CD Stripper.
You can even listen to audio CDs using the CD Stripper.

Rip songs off of your audio CDs:
  • Put an audio CD in your computer's CD player, and start the CD Stripper
  • Select the CD track you want to copy by double clicking on it in the left listbox. The track to rip will then appear in the right listbox
  • Right click on the track in the right listbox to change its name
  • Click on "Start"
  • CD Stripper then rips the track, saves it as a standard Windows WAV file, and converts it to an MP3 audio file.
