Ad-Aware SE Professional offers real-time protection, much as antivirus software does in blocking virus threats.
Also Ad-Aware SE Professional includes the process browser Process-Watch which allows you to browse, scan and analyze processes running on your system.
You can easily scan for and terminate known suspicious processes and their associated modules. In addition it is easy to install and manage and it updates itself over the Internet.
Norman Ad-Aware WebUpdate informs me that a new version of Ad-aware is available. What should I do?
Before installing a new version of Norman Ad-Aware you must uninstall the previous version. (Control panel -> Add/Remove programs).
During installation of the new version, you will be prompted to uninstall previously installed Norman Ad-Aware versions if you have not already done this.
Norman Ad-Watch closes nearly all pop-ups, even legitimate ones. What do I do to prevent this?
To make the pop-up blocking less aggressive, turn off "Block Pop-ups aggressively" by following these instructions:
- Right-click the Ad-Watch Icon in your system tray Unload Ad-Watch.
- Launch Norman Ad-Aware and select the Ad-Aware Configuration Window button (second from the left at the top of the window) this will open a new window
- In the new window select Tweak on the left hand side
- Select the plus sign (+) next to Ad-Watch and Uncheck " Block Pop-ups aggressively".
- Click the "Proceed" button and close.
- Re-launch Ad-watch.
